Good morning, everyone! My name is Li Hua, and I'm 13 years old. I'm from a small city called Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province, which is famous for its traditional Yangzhou rice noodles and beautiful water towns. Today, I'd like to share a little about my life, family, and dreams with you.

The first thing I want to mention is my family. I have four family members: my parents, a younger brother who's seven years old, and me. My father works as a teacher at a local high school, and my mother runs a small bookshop downtown. Every weekend, my brother and I visit our grandparents, who live in a village near our city. They always teach us to respect nature and help others, which has become one of our family's most important values. For example, last year, we planted 50 young trees in our village park during Earth Day. It was hard work, but seeing the trees grow made me feel proud.

Now let's talk about my school life. I attend No. 3 Middle School, which is located in the downtown area. My classes are usually from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and I have 30 classmates in each grade. I'm currently studying in Class 7 Grade 1, and my favorite subjects are English and art. English is my favorite because I love learning new words and watching American movies with subtitles. Last month, our class had an English speech contest, and I won the second prize by talking about how technology helps our daily lives. However, I also face some challenges. For example, math is difficult for me, but I try to practice every day by solving problems with my friends after school.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books and drawing. My bookshelf has over 100 books, including novels, science magazines, and picture books for children. My favorite author is J.K. Rowling because her Harry Potter series inspires me to never give up. When I was 10, I wrote a short story called "The Little Dragon's Adventure," which won a city-level writing competition. Drawing is another passion of mine. I especially love sketching landscapes, like the Yangzhou Water Town with its willow trees and stone bridges. Last summer, I sold three of my watercolor paintings at a school art fair and used the money to buy new sketchbooks.

However, I've also faced some difficulties in my life. When I was in elementary school, I was very shy and didn't like speaking in front of others. One day, my teacher asked me to stand up and read a poem in class, and I forgot half of the lines. My face turned red, and I wanted to run out of the classroom. But my teacher comforted me and said, "Mistakes are part of learning." Since then, I've practiced speaking in front of a mirror every day, and now I can confidently give presentations in English. This experience taught me that courage comes from trying again and again.

Looking ahead, I have big dreams for my future. I hope to study in a famous university and become a teacher like my father. I also want to travel around the world and learn about different cultures. For example, I'd love to visit London to see the British Museum and New York to learn about modern art. But more importantly, I want to help people, just like my parents do. I plan to start a charity project next year, raising money to build a library for children in rural areas.

To summarize, I'm a 13-year-old girl from Yangzhou who loves learning, drawing, and helping others. I've faced challenges, but I've learned to be brave and persistent. My family supports me, and my teachers encourage me every day. I believe that with hard work and a positive attitude, I can achieve all my dreams. Thank you for listening to my story!
